Breadmaking Workshops

Caterlink came in to our school this week to offer breadmaking workshops for some of the children. Year 2 and Year 6 learnt about the ingredients used for baking and made bread, which they enjoyed later in the day.

Music Achievements

Leah (year 5) and Grace (year 6) both attended Truro Music Festival this week.

Both girls were playing piano and Leah won with top marks, showing great promise. Grace missed out by only 2 points. Well done girls!

Sporting Achievement

Leah in Year 5 is a really good tennis player. She’s very dedicated to the sport and has been attending Redruth Club for the past 5 years. She was chosen to play for the county last summer and did amazingly well - now the training starts for this summer. Which she is so excited about!

Running Club – 5k ParkRun

Our lovely running club girls (and parents too) completed their 3 mile/5k ParkRun at the weekend. They were absolutely amazing! We received lots of positive comments about the girls and we are very proud of them.

Year 6 Bag Packing

Some of our Year 6’s took part in a local bag packing event in Tesco Tolgus last weekend. The children helped the shoppers with friendly smiles and they raised an AMAZING £582.

Rocksteady Music

We were rocking in assembly this week with a musician from Rocksteady playing the keyboard, drums, guitar and singing a few rock and pop tunes. The children joined in the singing and they loved the special rock assembly. We even had some of our teachers rocking!
